Nonprofit Software Discounts: Every Major Program, Verified and Priced

By Mike Krieg · Updated October 17, 2026

As of October 2026, we track 29 nonprofit software programs that offer a published discount, free tier or donated licenses. The table below gives the nonprofit price, the catch most likely to trip you up, and the official source for each. Every figure comes from our offer records, which cite the vendor's own page (or its authorized partner, such as TechSoup or Goodstack).

Percentages don't pay bills, so where a dollar price exists we show it. Click any program for the full pricing table, eligibility rules and a calculator.

How to read the table

  • Nonprofit price is what an eligible US nonprofit pays as of October 2026. "Free" means $0 for the stated tier and seat range only.
  • Key catch is the condition that most often decides whether the saving is real for you: a seat cap, new-customers-only rules, annual billing, or an excluded organization type.
  • Source is the page we read. Terms change, so confirm on that page before you buy.

Where the money usually is

The biggest annual savings are rarely the biggest percentages. Three examples using list prices from our records:

  • QuickBooks Online Plus: $140/month list × 12 = $1,680 a year. Through TechSoup it's $80. $1,680 − $80 = $1,600 a year, before the cost of moving to a new company file.
  • Google Workspace, 7 users on Business Standard: 7 × $14 × 12 = $1,176 at list. At the nonprofit rate, 7 × $42 = $294, saving $882. If the free edition covers your needs, you save the full $1,176.
  • Slack Pro, 20 members on annual billing: 20 × $87 = $1,740 a year, which drops to $0 if your organization type is eligible.

Small-percentage programs still matter if the bill is large. A 15% Mailchimp discount on a big contact list can beat a free tool you barely use. To add your own numbers by hand, use the savings calculator guide, or run the free audit to price your whole stack at once.

Programs that changed in 2025 and 2026

Many ranking articles still describe programs that no longer exist. What our records show:

  • Microsoft 365 Business Premium grant: the free 10-seat grant retired at renewals on or after July 1, 2025. Business Basic stays free for up to 300 users, and Business Premium is now $5.50/user/month. See what to do now that the grant has ended.
  • Zoom: left TechSoup in May 2025. The 50% discount now comes directly from Zoom Cares, with Goodstack handling verification.
  • Docusign: TechSoup's donation ended in May 2025. The nonprofit discount now runs through Goodstack.
  • Adobe Acrobat Pro: no longer sold through TechSoup; you apply directly with Adobe.
  • QuickBooks Desktop: the last Desktop offer on TechSoup was retired in February 2026. Only QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced remain. If you're moving over, see the migration guide.
  • Atlassian: in February 2026, the Community License became the Social Impact License, and Jira, Confluence and Loom went to free for up to 25 seats.
  • Notion: the current US page offers 50% off the Business plan only. Older guides describe a Plus-plan discount.

Tools with no published nonprofit discount

Our research found no official nonprofit pricing for Square, Gusto, WP Engine, Bitwarden, Dropbox Sign or Expensify. Dropbox, 1Password and SurveyMonkey say nonprofit discounts exist but don't publish the amount. For these, you save by asking sales, right-sizing seats or switching to a cheaper tool, not by applying.

Before you apply

  1. Check eligibility first. Most US programs want 501(c)(3) status. Some exclude religious organizations, hospitals, schools or government bodies. Churches should read church software discounts first.
  2. Have your documents ready. An IRS determination letter, EIN and an email address on your organization's domain cover most applications.
  3. Watch the "new customers only" rules. For QuickBooks, HubSpot, Wix and Creative Cloud, the discount applies to a new subscription, which can mean a migration.
  4. Don't prepay first. Constant Contact and Mailchimp both say to secure nonprofit pricing before you buy.

Frequently asked questions

What is the biggest software discount for small nonprofits?

For most small US nonprofits the largest dollar savings come from Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 (free tiers), QuickBooks Online Plus through TechSoup ($80 a year instead of $140 a month list), Canva (free for up to 50 members) and Slack Pro (free for workspaces of 250 or fewer members, if your organization type is eligible).

Do nonprofit software discounts apply to my existing subscription?

Sometimes. Google, Slack and Microsoft can change an existing account after verification. QuickBooks via TechSoup, HubSpot, Wix, BILL, Squarespace and Adobe Creative Cloud apply only to new subscriptions, new customers or new memberships, and Mailchimp is not retroactive.

Which nonprofit programs ended recently?

Microsoft retired the free Business Premium grant at renewals on or after July 1, 2025. Zoom left TechSoup in May 2025 and now runs its discount through Goodstack. TechSoup's Docusign donation ended in May 2025, and the last QuickBooks Desktop offer on TechSoup was retired in February 2026.

Do churches qualify for these discounts?

Many programs accept churches, but Slack and Airtable exclude religious organizations, and several programs ask for an IRS determination letter or proof of a group exemption. See our church eligibility guide before applying.
