How to apply
- Fill out OpenAI's Goodstack nonprofit form with the email you use (or will use) for ChatGPT Business
- If already on ChatGPT Business: once approved, a prorated discount applies to Standard seats in the current billing cycle
- If new: after approval, create an OpenAI account and sign up for ChatGPT Business; the discount applies to Standard seats at checkout
- For Enterprise (up to 75% off), contact OpenAI sales
Catches and limitations
- Discount applies only to Business Standard seats, not Premium seats
- No nonprofit discount on the OpenAI API
- Excluded organization types could not be confirmed on an official page (see researchNotes); churches and religious organizations should confirm eligibility in the Goodstack form before counting on this
Switching: Existing ChatGPT Business workspaces get the discount in place after approval. Staff on personal ChatGPT Plus accounts would move into the organization's Business workspace.
