Microsoft 365 Copilot Nonprofit Discount: Pricing & Eligibility (1970)

Verified nonprofit programConfidence: highLast verified October 18, 2026
$25.5/user/month for eligible nonprofits

Saves money only versus full-price Microsoft 365 Copilot at $30/user/month paid yearly (15%, $54/user/yr). For orgs on Business plans (up to 300 users), Copilot Business at $21 list ($18 promo through Dec 31, 2026) is already cheaper than the $25.50 nonprofit Copilot price, so there is no nonprofit saving there. Orgs that only need chat should use Copilot Chat, included free with Microsoft 365 (including the free Business Basic grant). Nonprofit price applies at renewal or to a new subscription; licenses added to an existing full-price subscription don't get it.

Catches and limitations

  • Discount is 15% only, on the $30 Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on
  • No nonprofit price for Copilot Business ($21 list), which is already below the nonprofit Copilot price
  • Requires a qualifying Microsoft 365 base license
  • Microsoft's offers page lists no Copilot-specific eligibility rules
Switching: License change in the existing Microsoft 365 tenant; no data migration. Timing matters: switch at renewal because licenses added to an existing full-price subscription don't receive the discount.
